January-February 2022 UCD Student Chapter Update

To kick off our Winter Quarter, the WTS Student Chapter hosted a Transportation Jeopardy competition! Our participants competed through two Jeopardy boards, covering everything from transportation history, to transit maps, to famous people in the transportation world.
In March, we had the pleasure of hosting a Young Professional's Panel featuring five women from WTS Sacramento: Charuni Kurumbalapitiya, Ellen Teidemann, Nicole Zhi Ling Porter, Sindia Maya, and Cindy Jimenez.
Our student members got the chance to learn about their careers and ask questions about navigating the industry, applying for jobs, and their experiences as women in workplace. Their insights and thoughtful responses were immensely valuable, allowing us to understand the possible paths forward for students as we prepare to leave UC Davis and begin careers.
